Russia and China are two the most beautiful counties you must visit in your life. During last 2 years those two destinations became the most popular among American and European tourists. And, if you well prepared, the “Russian Vacation” could really be the best option to spend your leisure time and long waiting family vacation. There are many agencies and websites offer travel Visa to Russia and Chinese Visa. These agencies and websites make easy way to get travel visa or business visa online.
Every foreigner requires a visa to get into Russia. Normally, tourist Russian visas are valid up to 30 days. To get the tourist Russian visa, first, you must get a tourist invitation (aka visa support letter or tourist voucher) from Russia and then apply at the Russian consulate for the visa. A local agent can also do this for you. Be little heedful since some local agents and hotels lock the foreigners into a fixed travel plan or limit the validity of visa to the period you are staying at the specific hotel. The websites would be very useful for the independent travelers to easily get travel visa to Russia and to take an itinerary upon your requirements.
The tourist visa can be processed in 1 to 10 days, although to get an invitation takes only 1 to 24 hours, all you have to do is to e-mail or fax the scanned copy of your passport and hotel reservation confirmation, plus the copy of air tickets if required. Please note, that in order to process your visa the original documents are required at the consulate. The charge for tourist invitation could be from $30 for normal processing and $60 for quick processing.
Once your tourist invitation is ready, you must get passport, passport-size photograph, consulate application form, and consulate-specific documents ready to apply for the Russian Visa. Travel agencies would charge between $40 and $80 for this service. The consular fees starts from $131 for normal processing (it would take six to ten business days) and $300 for Same Day Visa Processing (it would be processed in one business day). Once you reach Russia, you must follow the procedure for finishing a migration card and filing your visa. Plus, upon your arrival do not forget to make your visa registration if you are staying longer than 3 business days in one city.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and China Travel Service are responsible for issuing visas to the foreigners. There are three types of visas in China, which are L visa, F visa, and Z visa. Many agencies are there to help you to get Chinese visa. In general, it may take three to five days to process you visa. To get Chinese visa, you must have your passport, two recent passport-sized photographs, copy of hotel bookings, copy of return flight ticket, and a bank statement showing a minimum of US $3,000. In case of emergencies, you can approach the CTS travel service (a quasi-state organization), who can process the documents very quickly and get your Rush Visa Processing; however, of course, you will be charged a bit more than the normal one. In general, the Chinese visas are effective for 30 days.
During regular circumstances, you can get extension of your visa period for 30 more days, just by paying additional fee. Very often, the prices and the rules for the applications of Chinese visa vary and you are advised to check them in ahead.

July 28th, 2008

With its expansive coastline and marine culture, California yacht weddings are the perfect way to embrace your love of the water and one another. If you’re planning a wedding at sea, keep reading for a list of recommended companies along with tips and tricks that will keep your nautical wedding on course.

Admiral Yacht Charters

Admiral Yacht Charters focuses the bulk of their business on California yacht weddings, all leaving from the Newport Beach Harbor. A standard wedding package with them will range in price from $7000 for 50 guests during the low season to just under $17,000 for 150 guests during the peak season. All wedding packages include boat charter, crew, décor, ceremony and a catered reception.

The yacht company has a strong profile in the Newport Beach area and books up weddings quickly, so brides should be prepared to commit well in advance.

Hornblower Weddings in California

With locations in San Francisco, Berkeley, San Diego, Marina Del Rey and Newport Beach, Hornblower Weddings are able to offer a wide variety of yacht wedding packages to brides across California.

The company has a fleet of 25 yachts, with boats that can accommodate anywhere from a private dinner cruise of 20 to a massive reception for 600 guests. Their prices are slightly higher than Admiral Yacht and typically come in at an average of about $155 per guest including drinks, appetizers, dinner, a DJ and your wedding ceremony.

Electra Cruises in Southern California

Electra Cruises services the entire Southern California area, utilizing either their own fleet or a network of vessels in the surrounding area. Their services also go beyond yacht charters. They also do complete wedding consultations with the bride to arrange catering, decorations, invitations and other planning tasks. Many brides enjoy the personalized and customized service, along with the included DJ and photographer.

Prices for yacht weddings with Electra Cruises are remarkably reasonable - ranging from $65 per person to $85 per person depending on the vessel and the number of guests. However, their advertised prices do not include host bar services. Brides should be prepared to pay an additional $12 per person for a wine and beer bar or $14 per person for a liquor bar.

Tips for a Successful Yacht Wedding

California yacht weddings are all about the open sea and beautiful harbors. Unfortunately, they also come with salt water, dirty piers and multiple wedding dress hazards. Keep your dress pristine by looking for a yacht company that offers an on-board change room and opt for a dress without a train.

Family Friendly Summer Vacations: Winning Ideas

July 24th, 2008

Selecting the perfect summer vacation can be hard, especially if you have a family.
When traveling with kids, the guidelines used to choose a vacation destination alter. Instead of choosing a cheap vacation destination or one that is guaranteed to offer excitement, you will have to keep your family in mind. You can do so by targeting your summer vacation destination to the ages of your kids. There are a large number of vacation activities that are only suitable for children of a certain age. You are advised to keep these activities in mind when selecting a destination.

Planning a family vacation around your kids may seem hard, but it is something that all parents must to. If you are concerned with the limited number of activities that your daughter or son may be able to take part in, you could work to develop their ability to participate. For example, if you are interested in vacationing at the beach, but your daughter or son does not know how to swim, you could easily teach him or her. This action could make a beach vacation an option for your family.

Once you have decided which type of family vacation you’d like to take, you can start picking a destination. When picking a destination it is also important to examine the destination’s ability to accommodate kids. For instance, if you are interested in taking a beach vacation, many families decide to stay away from the South Beach area of Miami as the area is well-known for its nightlife.

If you are looking for a vacation destination that specifically caters for families, consider an amusement park. Amusement parks are located all around the world and they come in a wide variety of different sizes. For shorter vacations, you can visit a smaller amusement park. For longer vacations, you can select an amusement park that is large in size and has overnight accommodations. These amusement parks are not limited to, but are likely to include Disney World, Orlando Studios, and Six Flags.

Amusement parks are world famous for being “family friendly.” Almost all amusement parks offer a wide range of rides and attractions geared towards individuals of all ages. In addition to targeting adults and teenagers, many amusement parks offer rides and attractions for infants and toddlers. In some areas of the world, amusement parks are the only summer vacation destinations that offer activities that are designed to target toddlers and other small kids.

In addition to amusement parks, many families decide to pick a campground or state park as their next summer vacation destination. Camping is a popular outdoor activity. Kids of all ages enjoy camping near a pond, lake, stream, or in the woods. In addition to camping, many campgrounds offer activities such as fishing, boating, and outdoor sports. However, toddlers have the ability to quickly move and sneak around. Being outdoors, unsupervised, is unadvised and poses as a danger for many kids.

With a small amount of research, it is possible to plan the family vacation of your dreams. There are a large number of popular summer vacation destinations that target families as a whole. Booking a vacation at one of these popular destinations is the best way to ensure that everyone will be able to enjoy their summer. Cruise Ship Family Trips: Safety Recommendations To Maintain Your Comfort Level

July 6th, 2008

Family cruise vacations are a wonderful way to engage the whole family in a trip that’s relatively all-inclusive and offers a range of activities that appeal to family members young and old. However, before you depart on your big family cruise vacation, you need to consider a few crucial safety tips.

To learn how to really enjoy yourself and have a fun and safe time on your next family cruise, keep reading for the top family cruise safety tips from the experts.

1. Check your ship’s report card

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a department called the Vessel Sanitation Program. That program inspects ships on a regular basis for cleanliness, food preparation, hygiene, water control, rodents and disease prevention. Upon inspection, each ship is given a report card that is then made available on the CDC web site.

Before you book your next cruise, look up your specific ship’s report card to check their grade.

2. Put safety first

Before you book with a cruise line, even a “family” cruise or a “kid” cruise, always make sure you know the cruise line’s policy on child safety. If they don’t have one or if it isn’t readily available to you, then they are not the cruise line for you.

Ask about their daycare employees, the activity counselors and the children’s guides - are they qualified to work with children? Do they have first aid certification? Have they been thoroughly screened? What background checks has the cruise line done? How does the cruise line keep track of every child when parents aren’t present?

3. Be diligent, especially on shore

Admittedly, a cruise can feel very safe. It’s an enclosed environment, but that doesn’t mean parents can fully let down their guard. Kids can still fall, slip, get hurt, wander into unsupervised or dangerous areas and generally do what kids do.

Despite the childcare, the amenities available to you and the enclosed space, never forget that you’re a parent. If you’re going on shore with your children, keep a close eye on them and try sticking to cruise ship organized activities.

4. Have your papers in order

Before you leave, make sure that everyone has a passport. If any of the children have a different last name from yourself or your friend, or if they’re traveling without one parent, be sure to get copies of their birth certificates or custody agreements or a letter that states you’re allowed to bring them outside the country.

Also, make sure everyone is properly insured for travel, including cruise destinations which have specific legal implications because of international waters and the various ports of call. Keep all this paperwork in a safe place.

Asking The Right Questions To Find The BEST Yellowstone Hiking Tours

July 3rd, 2008

If you’re interested in going on a tour led by a professional tour business, there are some critical things to know before booking your tour. As an innovator in the industry for more than 20 years, I’ve seen everything imaginable. I’ve seen multitudes of companies that do safe, fun tours; I’ve seen a handful of companies out there that you want to stay away from; and I’ve seen a handful of companies that do safe, fun tours but do it with a flare and a passion that leads to excellence and quite possibly the vacation of a lifetime. Whether you’re interested in a rafting tour, biking tour, hiking tour, bus tour, wine tour, variety tour, women’s tour, helicopter tour, boat tour, or any other type of tour, asking these questions of the companies you research will guide you to the latter (and much superior) class of tour company.

Guided Grand Canyon Hikes
Question #1: what’s the maximum number of people on a trip?

The smaller the group, the more customized and personalized the tour will be. It doesn’t mean that a large group (larger than 12) will necessarily be a downer of an experience. It’s just that to handle larger groups, a business needs more systems, and so it naturally becomes less customized. Part of the magic of a great tour is the connection the guests have with their guide, and the larger the group, the less the connection. I recommend a group of between 4 and 8.

Women’s tour packages
Question #2: do you provide custom tours?

It doesn’t matter whether you’re interested in a custom tour or not, just the mere fact that a company provides custom tours means they’re set up to provide a more personalized experience. A custom tour is oftentimes about 20% more pricy but worth every penny if you want to see a lot of the ‘extras’ the guides know about but don’t show to the systematized tour.

Yellowstone Hiking Tours
Question #3: how many years of experience do you have?

Asking how long the company has been in business is less important than how many years of experience the owners have. I’ve seen 30-year-old companies lose their best people, and those people oftentimes go out and start their own companies. These newer companies, started by people with lots of experience, will oftentimes be more eager to serve you and make your experience extra special. Either way, you want the owners to have at least 10 years of experience in their profession.

One of the best ways to get on board a cruise ship for the least amount of money is to take advantage of cheap cruise offers which are starting to become popular within the industry.

The big winner of course will be you. Cruises for a lot less than they would normally cost can entice even the toughest shoppers but the thing to remember that with these offers being so attractive it may be a case of being first in first served.

Basically, a cheap cruise sale is an offer from cruise lines for a limited period of time and on a set day. These cheap cruise sales tend to reflect the economy as well as with more ships to fill and more cruises to cater for, cruise lines are stepping up their publicity machines to attract more travelers to fill their state rooms.

But whatever the reason, you have a great opportunity to get onboard at attractive prices. Carnival Cruise Lines is one company offering these cheap cruise sales and as just about the most recognized cruise brand on the waters, they are getting strong interest.

Cheap Cruise Sales

The best way to stay informed on cheap cruise offers is to sign up for a cruise lines newsletter. Or simply get on their email list. If you are really serious about getting these offers then you’ll need to verify the cruise lines address with your spam filters because many will get filtered out given the catchy headlines that accompany these emails.

How many cruise lines should you sign up with. For US based travelers definitely Carnival and Royal Caribbean but if you have traveled with another line then as a past guest you will more than likely already be on their list.

While the aim is to attract people on board ships in the short term, many if these sales also offer the opportunity to book up to nine months ahead. So if you were planning to vacation at a later date you can lock in a cheap cruise price.

Cruises ranging from 3 to 4 day sailings from under $300 to 8 day excursions for less than $600 make them irresistible. From the USA, destinations include popular places in Mexico, the Caribbean and the Bahamas.

Speaking about fuel prices, the prices quoted may not include extra fuel surcharges and you will need to clear this up when booking.

Alaska Tours For An Unforgettable Travel Experience

June 24th, 2008

The following extract is from a series of travel articles, tips, videos and information about Alaska travel

Picture yourself as a resident of Alaska in a small town of 900 people and watching thousands of passengers unloading off six massive cruise ships. Back in the 1800s, the Gold Rush brought a similar explosion of settlers, dreamers and adventurers to what was a pristine swatch of land containing mountains, frozen volcanoes, forests and glaciers. If you love history and the great outdoors, then an Alaskan experience is a “must.” Not only will you see abandoned historic mines, but you can also learn about the indigenous Alaskan people, who braved the elements and lived off whales and moose.

In Juneau, a classic Alaska tour is the “Four Glaciers By Helicopter & Dog Sled Adventure.” On this once-in-a-lifetime expedition, you’ll soar over four real glaciers, which are the Taku, the Hole-in-the-Wall, Dead Branch and East Twin, while catching a bird’s eye view of moose, goats, bears and caribou. Then you will land on Norris Glacier where you’ll hook up with your Alaskan malamute and Alaskan husky dogsled team. Your Alaskan tour guide will describe the 1,000-mile Iditarod Race that traverses from Anchorage to Nome. Your joueny will include some hiking through crevasses and navigating streams for two hours of exhilarating bliss. This journey is for the daring, the cold-resistant, the adventurous and the fit.

Calling all fishermen! Sitka offers a day-long excursion you definitely will not want to miss! It’s no secret that Alaska is home to some delicious seafood, particularly salmon, halibut and Alaskan king crab. This great state is a beacon for any serious fisherman looking to fish the very best of the best. The captain will steer you to proven spots where you can troll for king, silver or chum salmon or anchor-and-jig a halibut. You’ll even be treated to lunch and snacks on this trip.

Lastly, you definitely want to catch the “White Pass Scenic Railway” that takes you through the narrow escarpment and gives you a glimpse at the Alaska that Yukon gold prospectors may have seen. You’ll travel on an old-fashioned parlor car up the 2,800-foot mountain, past Bridal Vein Falls, Inspiration Point and Dead Horse Gulch. You can take a three hour trip round-trip or choose to book a bus ride on the Klondike Highway. The rich history of Alaska can’t be ignored on this tour, which is why it’s one of the “must-do” tours you can take.

Best Deals On Cruises - The No Fail Cheap Cruise Strategy

June 21st, 2008

Great cruise deals seem to jump out at you non stop these days and the days of hunting down those bargains seem well and truly behind us.

The internet has certainly played a major part in promotion of cruise deals yet it alone has not been responsible. Cruise lines have had to respond to consumer demand and they’ve done this by building more ships and at the same time, bigger and better vessels.

Filling these ships many times a year means maximum exposure which has been great news for you the holidaymaker. Finding the best cheap cruise deals means simply logging onto your computer and visiting many of the sites dealing in cruise holidays. And there’s no shortage of them.

Using Travel Professionals

It really is not difficult anymore to find the best deals on cruises. The internet has added a complete new dimension to locating the best cruise deals and vacationers have been aware of this for sometime.

If you’re in the market for a great deal on a cruise then yes, you can commence your search on the internet but don’t do anything in the way of booking until you check with a real live travel professional as we’re about to explain.

Get The Best deals On Cruising

Your travel professional should always be your first port-of-call when looking for the best cheap cruise deals. Why? For example, don’t settle on the first quote you’re given.

When hunting around for the best quote spend time on the phone with different agents and use what is called as comparison cruise shopping. This means make a list of potential travel professionals, up to ten is great and spend a little time speaking with each of them.

Get a list of the best quotes from the first one you talk to and then use this list as leverage to get better quotes from the remainder. If the first agent quoted you $1000 for a 7 day/7night cruise to the Western Caribbean then when you speak with the next travel consultant, simply ask the question - “can you beat this quote?”

Most times, this system will get you much more than $100 off the original quote. Never accept the original price for cruise trips which are not scheduled to depart for at least six months.

Getting the best cheap cruise deals for vacations due to depart in 1-2 months will be difficult because these fares will already be discounted as the urgency to fill state rooms begins.
